USCIS Extends the Closure of Local Offices to June 4th

What appointment cancellations due to USCIS office closure will be automatically rescheduled?

On April 1, 2020 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the current closure of all local offices will be extended at least through the end of May 3, 2020.  The closures have now been extended another month to June 4th.

The closure affects all in-person activities including interviews, naturalization oath ceremonies, and biometrics collection appointments.  In case a true emergency requires action, such as a temporary stamp in a passport, emergency accommodation may be requested.

USCIS will automatically send notices to applicants when the interview, oath ceremony, or biometrics collection appointment is rescheduled.  Individuals who had InfoPass or other appointments at the field office must request the appointment be rescheduled once field offices are open to the public again.
