International Entrepreneur Rule Put on Hold
The International Entrepreneur Rule set to go into effect next week was put on hold today. In a post on this site from August 2016 we explained the proposed International Entrepreneur Rule set by the Obama administration that would have made it easier for foreign investors and entrepreneurs to enter the U.S. The rule was to go into effect next week on July 17, 2017, but within the last few hours the Trump administration has put the rule on hold until March 14, 2018. The notice, scheduled to be published in the Federal Register tomorrow, states that the delay will give the Department of Homeland Security time to re-evaluate the rule in light of the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policy.
